About VHS
VHS is a network of six acute care hospitals, two specialty hospitals, and a series of freestanding emergency departments that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and surrounding areas.
Our hospitals are accredited by The Joint Commission and offer a comprehensive range of healthcare services including cardiovascular, maternity and women’s health, neurosciences, emergency and surgical care, along with specialty programs in stroke, chest pain, heart failure, pediatrics, oncology, would care, weight loss surgery and acute inpatient rehabilitation. Many of our hospitals are also teaching hospitals, and our nurses will work closely with residents, fellows, and students of nursing, pharmacy, therapy and dietary needs.

Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center
Residents in northwest and North Las Vegas have easy access to healthcare at Centennial Hills Hospital. The 339-bed hospital has earned numerous accreditations, certifications and honors for high-performing services and quality care initiatives. Key service lines include emergency care, comprehensive maternity care, including a level 3 neonatal intensive care unit, neurosurgery and neurological services, spine and orthopedic services, and a wide range of surgical procedures. Outpatient services include wound healing and hyperbaric medicine along with outpatient therapy. The hospital also has two freestanding emergency departments – the ER at Valley Vista and the ER at West Craig – to increase access to care in the northwest community.
Desert View Hospital
Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Pahrump, Nevada, about 60 miles from Las Vegas. The team cares for patients from the area communities of Beatty and Amargosa, as well as tourists from Death Valley National Park. Key service lines include emergency care, surgery and endoscopy services, physical therapy, wound care, imaging, a 24-hour laboratory, cardiopulmonary care and a 25-bed medical/surgical unit.
Henderson Hospital
Located in east Henderson, the 170-bed Henderson Hospital serves the local communities of Henderson, Boulder City and southeast Las Vegas. Since opening in late 2016, the hospital has earned numerous accolades including Nation’s 100 Top Hospitals® by Fortune and PINC, 13 consecutive A grades from the Leapfrog Group and certifications in heart and stroke care.
Key service lines include emergency care, advanced cardiovascular and neuro services, comprehensive maternity services, including a Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit, a wide range of surgical services and outpatient wound healing and hyperbaric medicine. Henderson Hospital also has two freestanding emergency departments – the ER at Green Valley Ranch and the ER at Cadence – to increase access to care throughout the Henderson community.
Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center
Located in southwest Las Vegas, Spring Valley Hospital cares for patients from the original and new southwest areas of town, as well as many tourists from the nearby Las Vegas Strip. The hospital has earned accreditations, certifications and honors from health care entities and US News & World Report. Key service lines include emergency care, advanced cardiovascular and neurological services, comprehensive maternity care, including a Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit, a wide range of surgeries, weight loss, cardiac and neurosurgery to spine, orthopedics, oncology and general surgical procedures. In addition to the 364-bed hospital, Spring Valley Hospital also has a freestanding emergency department located on Blue Diamond Road, the Valley Health Specialty Hospital for orthopedic surgery and inpatient acute rehabilitation services, an ambulatory surgery center and an outpatient wound care and hyperbaric medicine center under its umbrella of services.
Summerlin Hospital Medical Center
Summerlin Hospital is located within one of America’s premier master-planned communities on the western edge of Las Vegas. Summerlin Hospital has earned multiple certifications and honors from various entities, including the American Heart Association and Joint Commission and US News & World Report. As the largest hospital in The Valley Health System with 496 inpatient beds, key service lines include emergency care, advanced cardiovascular care, interventional radiology, comprehensive maternity services including a Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit, and a wide range of surgical procedures. It is the only hospital in The Valley Health System within inpatient cancer care for adults and pediatrics and a Children’s Medical Center, which includes a pediatric ER, pediatric intensive and general care, pediatric surgery and pediatric outpatient therapy. Summerlin Hospital will open its first freestanding emergency department – the ER at South Summerlin in 2025.
Valley Health Physician Alliance
Valley Health Physician Alliance includes several primary care and specialty physician offices located throughout Las Vegas and Henderson. Most of our clinics are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for nurses interested in a physician practice environment.
Valley Health Specialty Hospital
Valley Health Specialty Hospital, an extension of Spring Valley Hospital, offers orthopedic surgery, inpatient acute rehabilitation and outpatient therapy for patients recovering from stroke, injury or illness. Located near the 215 and South Durango, the 66-bed facility is dedicated to restoring health for individuals with varied diagnoses.
Valley Hospital Medical Center
Centrally located in the heart of the Las Vegas Medical District, the 306-bed Valley Hospital offers advanced cardiovascular and neurological services, including certification as Primary Heart Attack and Primary Stroke Center. Our dedicated team offers emergency care, advanced cardiovascular care including open-heart surgery, neurosurgery and interventional radiology procedures. We also offer a wide range of surgical procedures, including general, orthopedics, spine, urology, gynecological procedures and more. Valley Hospital also has an adult behavioral health unit, outpatient wound healing and hyperbaric program and three freestanding emergency departments – Elite Medical Center adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip, the ER at Desert Springs and the ER at North Las Vegas.
West Henderson Hospital
West Henderson Hospital is our newest acute care hospital, located on Raiders Way in the fast-growing communities of West Henderson and South Las Vegas. Services include:
- A 36-bay emergency department
- Surgical suites including heart and hybrid suites
- Endoscopy suites
- Cardiac catheterization labs
- An electrophysiology lab to treat heart rhythm disorders
- An interventional radiology/special procedures lab to treat neurological disorders
- 150 inpatient beds
