We continue to expand in new and exciting ways— opening soon will be the Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center. The facility will offer acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services. NNHS encompasses Northern Nevada Medical Center—including its ER at McCarran NW, the ER at Spanish Springs and the ER at Damonte Ranch, and the soon to open Northwest Specialty Hospital, and extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center – along with Sierra Medical Center, the first full-service hospital built in the region in over a century which opened April 2022, Northern Nevada Medical Group, and Quail Surgical Center.
Northern Nevada Medical Center

Sierra Medical Center
Sierra Medical Center is part of Northern Nevada Health System, a regional multi-facility system that has excelled at offering quality care to residents of the greater Truckee Meadows. Sierra Medical Center is a 170-bed acute care hospital offering services including 24/7 ER care, cardiology, oncology, labor and delivery, level II NICU, surgical and orthopedic services, and much more.
Northwest Specialty Hospital
When it opens, Northwest Specialty Hospital will offer acute rehabilitation services and adult and senior behavioral health services to patients residing in the greater Truckee Meadows area and beyond.
ER at Damonte Ranch
ER at Damonte Ranch provides 24/7 emergency care in a convenient setting. As a full-service emergency room, the facility is capable of treating life-threatening injuries as well as less urgent issues.
The facility delivers the same high-quality care as our hospital ER. ER at Damonte Ranch is staffed with a skilled team, including emergency-trained physicians, nurses, and imaging and laboratory staff. The ER is easily accessible and has ample parking, and features a wide range of capabilities and technology.
ER at McCarran NW
We provide 24/7 emergency care in a convenient Reno setting. As a full-service emergency room, we can treat life-threatening injuries as well as less urgent issues. At this facility, a skilled team of emergency-trained physicians, nurses, imaging and laboratory staff deliver the same high-quality care as our hospital ER. The ER features a wide range of capabilities and technology, is easily accessible, and has ample parking.
ER at Spanish Springs
The ER at Spanish Springs is Northern Nevada Health System’s second freestanding emergency department to open in the market. The facility, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, is located off Pyramid Way and Oppio Ranch Parkway and features 10 treatment areas, diagnostic imaging including CT, X-ray and ultrasound, and an outpatient lab. The ER at Spanish Springs is open 24/7 and treats a variety of emergency medical needs including chest pain, broken bones, minor lacerations, asthma, allergic reactions, flu and other ailments.
Quail Surgical And Pain Management
The team at our outpatient surgical center in Reno is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. Proudly established by a group of community physicians, the goals of the founding physicians have not changed since they were established in 1999.
Outpatient Therapy Centers
Our experienced team of therapists provide superior-quality physical, occupational and speech therapy—to help people who have suffered an injury or are recovering after surgery to achieve their highest level of function.
Northern Nevada Medical Group
As part of Northern Nevada Health System, NNMG offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services for the entire family. Our providers offer wellness services, family, geriatric and internal medicine, along with specialty care including cardiology, general surgery, podiatry and pulmonary medicine.
