Northern Nevada Health System (NNHS) is going strong—and growing stronger.
We are expanding in new and exciting ways—most prominently with the technologically advanced Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center, the first full-service hospital built in the region in over a century which opened April 2022. We are owned and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., one of the nation’s largest healthcare management companies.
NNHS encompasses Northern Nevada Medical Center—including its ER at McCarran NW and the ER at Spanish Springs —along with Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center, Northern Nevada Medical Group, and Quail Surgical Center.
Northern Nevada Medical Center
At NNMC in Sparks, we offer many of the latest technological innovations for diagnosis and treatment of even the most acute clinical conditions. Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center
The full-service south Reno facility, which opened April 2022, represents the future of healthcare delivery—and presents an awesome opportunity for healthcare workers to help build, grow, and develop Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center into an acute care force in our community. This 170-bed acute care facility provides convenient access to superior-quality healthcare, including cardiology, oncology, emergency care, neonatal intensive care, labor and delivery, neurology, orthopedics and surgical services. The campus will soon be home to a medical office building providing outpatient services. With this expansion, our system has improved access to healthcare, offering more choices for patients, and extending the quality care we offer.
ER at Damonte Ranch
ER at Damonte Ranch provides 24/7 emergency care in a convenient setting. As a full-service emergency room, the facility is capable of treating life-threatening injuries as well as less urgent issues.
The facility delivers the same high-quality care as our hospital ER. ER at Damonte Ranch is staffed with a skilled team, including emergency-trained physicians, nurses, and imaging and laboratory staff. The ER is easily accessible and has ample parking, and features a wide range of capabilities and technology.
ER at McCarran NW
We provide 24/7 emergency care in a convenient Reno setting. As a full-service emergency room, we can treat life-threatening injuries as well as less urgent issues. At this facility, a skilled team of emergency-trained physicians, nurses, imaging and laboratory staff deliver the same high-quality care as our hospital ER. The ER features a wide range of capabilities and technology, is easily accessible, and has ample parking.
ER at Spanish Springs
The ER at Spanish Springs is Northern Nevada Health System’s second freestanding emergency department to open in the market. The facility, expected to open early 2023, will feature 10 treatment areas, diagnostic imaging including CT, X-ray and ultrasound, and an outpatient lab. The facility is open 24/7 and treats all emergent conditions such as stroke care, traumatic injuries, acute abdominal pain, and more.
Quail Surgical And Pain Management
The team at our outpatient surgical center in Reno is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. Proudly established by a group of community physicians, the goals of the founding physicians have not changed since they were established in 1999.
Outpatient Therapy Centers
Our experienced team of therapists provide superior-quality physical, occupational and speech therapy—to help people who have suffered an injury or are recovering after surgery to achieve their highest level of function.
Northern Nevada Medical Group
As part of Northern Nevada Health System, NNMG offers a comprehensive range of healthcare services for the entire family. Our providers offer wellness services, family, geriatric and internal medicine, along with specialty care including cardiology, general surgery, podiatry and pulmonary medicine. We have locations across the Truckee Meadows, in addition to the rural communities of Fallon (in Nevada) and Bishop, California.
