About Independence Physician Management
Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2012 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in 11 markets across six states and the District of Columbia. Our leadership team, practitioners, and teams of healthcare professionals are collectively dedicated to improving the health and wellness of people in the communities we serve.
Independence Physician Management (IPM) is based in King of Prussia Pennsylvania, Montgomery County, which is located just 30 minutes outside the city of Philadelphia. We are surrounded by many historical sites, including neighboring Valley Forge National Park, and museums throughout the region. If you like shopping, King of Prussia is home to the second largest mall in the United States with over 400 shops and restaurants. King of Prussia is also located just a short drive from destinations such as the Pocono Mountains, ‘Amish country’, and shore points along the Atlantic Ocean. Even Washington, DC and New York City are accessible for easy daytrips by car or train. Having excellent public transportation, vibrant communities with walkable towns, and highly rated public and private schools, southeastern Pennsylvania offers so much to those who call it home.
