Responsibilities

This is an hourly, non-exempt per diem position. Shift differentials apply.

 

If  you wish to advance your nursing  career and have some supervisory background, in a behavioral  health setting, our per diem Nursing Supervisor position might  be  what  you  are seeking. The per diem Nursing Supervisor will  assume  responsibility for complete facility operations during an assigned shift. This includes supervising nursing and clinical staff, ensuring that patient care is provided in an accurate, timely and safe  manner. 

Other responsibilities  include assisting  the  staffing coordinator with RN and Mental Health Associate staffing, communicating any issues to  the  other members of  the  nursing  management team and conducting  round  audits.

 

This is a per diem position that is not eligble for benefits. There is opportunity to cover various shifts and pick up overtime if interested.  Learn more online at: https://summitoakshospital.com/

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assesses and responds to medical needs of patients under the guidance of the physicians.
  • Conducts safety checks and implements appropriate behavioral management techniques.
  • Maintains the core values and mission of Summit Oaks Hospital

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:

  • Current New Jersey RN licensure; BSN/BS preferred.
  • Minimum requirements are one (1) year of psychiatric nursing experience, or two (2) years of medical/surgical experience with proven leadership, strong clinical skills, and high motivation.
  • Graduate of NLN accredited program preferred.
  • ANA Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing certification preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
