Riveredge Hospital is a 210-bed leading psychiatric hospital dedicated to providing quality behavioral health services and trauma-informed care to children, adolescents and adults. The hospital offers inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and community residential programs. The Creative Arts Therapist uses a variety of organized age/population specific activities for patient treatment. Treatment is provided in groups or individually for all assigned patients.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree, Recreational Therapy, Music, Drama, Art- Dance/Movement Therapist

 

Prefer Master’s Degree

 

Registered/board certified or certified(or registration /certificate pending) with the national association of his/her specialty area.

 

Successful completion of education with experience in the field.

 

Maintains compliance with all Hospital annual competencies as well as CPR, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI).  Thoroughly understands the management of the patient milieu including age specific and cultural requirements and has knowledge of JCAHO, CMS, OSHA regulations and all other relevant state and federal regulatory standards.
