UHS nurtures the financial, personal and professional health and well-being of our team members and their families through a diverse range of benefits.*
We offer several comprehensive medical plans, which vary in cost, deductibles and maximum out-of-pocket expenses.
Critical Illness and Accident Insurance
These benefits help cover the out-of-pocket expenses that may result from a covered accident or illness.
Two plan options are available from one of the largest national dental networks.
Coverage is available from one of the largest networks of participating doctors and locations nationwide.
Life & Disability
Employees may protect themselves and their families through a variety of life and disability benefits, including basic life insurance, short- and long-term disability, accidental death and dismemberment, personal accident insurance, and dependent life insurance.
Flexible Spending Accounts
These optional plans allow employees to set aside pretax dollars to cover qualified medical, dental or vision expenses, or dependent day care expenses normally paid using post-tax dollars.
Company-Matched Retirement and Savings
We assist employees in protecting and planning for their financial future and retirement through the UHS Retirement Savings Plan (administered by Fidelity Investments), which features convenient payroll deductions, choice of investments, catch-up contributions, tax-free earnings, and daily updates.
Employee Stock Purchase Plan
Eligible employees may enjoy this convenient way of sharing in the success of the company.
* Eligibility for Benefits
Most UHS employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 30 hours per week and are not members of a collective bargaining group are eligible for benefits. UHS employees who are covered by a collective bargaining group may be eligible if their collective bargaining agreement includes eligibility. Eligibility for employees who are regularly scheduled to work less than 30 hours per week may vary by location.

I am inspired to be a part of creating the building blocks of a life worth living for every individual who comes through our doors. I can think of nothing more rewarding than to spend my career refining our understanding of the mind well enough to successfully intervene and move an at-risk individual to a more stable place.
Divisional Vice President, UHS Behavioral Health Division, Miami, FL
The most rewarding part of my job is when I successfully negotiate a new contract for UHS. Working in the sourcing department, I aim to get the best contracts possible for not only pricing but also valuable terms and conditions. When I accomplish this, I have done my job well and feel good sharing with our facilities.
