BHC Alhambra Hospital is a 103 bed facility established in 1924. BHC Alhambra Hospital is a private, fully accredited, full-service acute psychiatric hospital serving children, adolescents and adults. BHC Alhambra Hospital is dedicated to providing quality behavioral health, substance abuse, and eating disorder treatment options for the communities of the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles County, and surrounding areas. BHC Alhambra Hospital does not provide emergency services.

Reasons Eating Disorder Center comprises an Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorder Program at our hospital in Rosemead, and Residential Eating Disorder programs in Pasadena, Hancock Park and San Marino. At our hospital programs, we treat women and men, and adolescents and adults, and our Residential program treats adult women. We focus on primary Eating Disorder Diagnoses in our programs.
Reasons Eating Disorder Center, has an immediate opening for a per diem Registered Nurse, for our three residential facilities. At least one weekend day of availability is required.
This is an exciting opportunity to learn about eating disorders and psychiatric nursing in a fast-paced environment with a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
The Charge Nurse (R.N.) prescribes, delegates, coordinates, and evaluates patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members and in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. Supervisory responsibilities for LVN/LPT and Mental Health Workers, milieu management, eating meals with patients and coordinating care with multi-disciplinary team members. Will report to Reasons Director of Nursing.
Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two (2) years experience as a registered nurse in a psychiatric health care facility is preferred.
Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: CPR (AED) certification must be obtained prior to the completion of orientation. Completion of NCI training within 90 days of employment. Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. Must have a valid driver’s license in applicable state within 90 days of employment.
