Reasons Eating Disorder Center comprises an Inpatient and Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient Eating Disorder Program at our hospital in Rosemead, and Residential Eating Disorder programs in Pasadena, Hancock Park and San Marino. At our hospital programs, we treat women and men, and adolescents and adults, and our Residential program treats adult women. We focus on primary Eating Disorder Diagnoses in our programs.

Reasons Eating Disorder Center is hiring for LVN's position to work Evenings, Overnight and Weekend shift at a Residential Eating Disorder Program for 6 Adult Women located in a beautiful house location in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Hancock Park (90004).

The LVN performs under the direction of a Registered Nurse in providing nursing care to assigned residents, utilizing basic understanding of psychiatric and personality disorders.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Medication passes.
  2. Documentation.
  3. Milieu Management.
  4. Eating meals with patients providing emotional support for patients.
  5. Working with a team of Doctors, Nurses, Mental Health Workers and Therapist.



Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

Education:  Graduate from an accredited professional vocational school of nursing or vocational training as a psychiatric technician.

Experience:  Minimum one (1) year LVN in psychiatric nursing preferred.

Licensure:  Licensed to practice vocational nursing from the State Board of Nursing .

License: Must maintain a valid driver license or ID in applicable state within 90 days of employment.

Additional Requirements:  CPR (AED) certification must be obtained prior to the completion of orientation.  Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
