NURSE MANAGER  REASONS EATING DISORDER (MONDAY- FRIDAY/AM SHIFT) – Full Time   - Hancock Park

Reasons Eating Disorder Center

We are a multi-site eating disorder treatment program based in exposure and response prevention and are committed to treating our patients with dignity and respect. We integrate compassion into our therapeutic work and believe in looking beyond the symptoms to support the whole person.

A Nurse Manager is needed at our beautiful, 6-bed residential house in Hancock Park, Los Angeles, to serve as a key member of a multidisciplinary treatment team. The Nurse Manager prescribes, delegates, coordinates and evaluates patients care through collaborative efforts with health team management and in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practice. Eating meals with patients is part of the job responsibilities .

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Supervisory responsibilities for LVN/LPT and Mental Health Workers.

  2. Responsible for Performance Improvement Auditing and Reporting.

  3. Responsible for compliance with TJC, State and regulatory standards and patient rights standards.

  4. Responsible for Milieu Management .

     

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing required, Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management.

Experience:  A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a register nurse in psychiatric health care facility preferred.

Licensure:  Currently licensed to practice by the State Board of Nursing.  Must have a valid driver's license in applicable state within 90 days of employment.

Additional Requirements:   CPR (AED) certification must be obtained prior to the completion of orientation. Successful completion of NCI training including appropriate use of seclusion and restraint within 90 days of employment and must be deemed competent prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.
